At the BASE Academy, our education is built around the DFS Formula — a cutting system developed by world-renowned barber Josh OP that has changed the way thousands of barbers think about their craft.

The DFS Formula breaks every haircut down into three clear, logical principles. It removes guesswork from the chair and replaces it with structure — giving you a repeatable process you can apply to any head of hair, any client, any style. Whether you're just starting out or looking to sharpen a technique you've been doing for years, the formula gives you a new way of seeing the work.

Marie is a DFS Formula lead educator — one of a small number of lead educators in Ireland trained to deliver this method. When you learn at BASE, you're not just picking up tips.
